What Cadtorial is

Cadtorial is a free library of 2D CAD blocks for architects, interior designers, drafters and students: furniture, bathroom fixtures, doors and windows, with more categories on the way. Every block downloads directly in DWG and DXF, without an account. The site is funded by advertising.

How the blocks are drawn

Each block is generated from code with exact dimensions in millimetres, rather than traced from an image. The files declare their units, use named layers and keep the plan and the elevation as two separate blocks. Before publishing, every DXF is checked with an audit tool and every DWG is converted back to DXF and compared with the original, entity by entity. The previews you see on each page are rendered from the DXF itself.

Who is behind it

Cadtorial is made by Jorge Belda, who also runs Sheetorial, Vaultorial and Formtorial. Found a block with a wrong dimension or one that does not open? Write to [email protected].
