Waiting area CAD blocks in plan and elevation

Both blocks are drawn at 1:1 in millimetres, each as a plan and a front elevation in one file, for example CT_WAITING_BENCH_3_PLAN and CT_WAITING_BENCH_3_ELEV. Outlines are on A-FURN and seat details on A-FURN-DETL. The bench also uses A-HIDN for the beam and legs under the seats in plan.

Beam bench for waiting rooms

The bench is a row of three perforated steel shells on a common beam, 1,800 mm long, 650 mm deep and 800 mm high, with the seat at 460 mm. Beam seating is common in clinics, offices and public counters because the row stays in place and the floor under it is easy to clean. Copy the block along a wall for longer rows, or set two rows back to back in the middle of a room.

Keep the main walkway clear of the space in front of the seats, so people can pass without stepping over legs and bags.

Lounge seating for a reception waiting area

The lounge set groups a 3-seat sofa of 2,000 x 800 mm, two armchairs of 800 x 800 mm and a 1,200 x 600 mm coffee table, and covers 3,000 x 1,800 mm as one block. It suits an office reception, a hotel lobby or a showroom where visitors wait longer and sit more comfortably.

Place the waiting area where staff at the reception desk can see it, and away from the entrance doors and the access route through the turnstile. Use the bench where many people wait for a short time, and the sofa set where fewer people wait longer.
