Motorcycles and scooters need their own space in a car park or a residential garage, and a block at true size tells you how many fit along a wall. These motorcycle CAD blocks show a full-size motorbike and a city scooter in plan and side view.

Motorcycle CAD block sizes

The motorcycle is 2,100 mm long, 800 mm wide including mirrors and 1,150 mm high, on 17 in wheels with a 1,450 mm wheelbase. The seat is at 800 mm. The scooter is 1,800 mm long and 700 mm wide, on 12 in wheels with a 1,270 mm wheelbase and a 780 mm seat.

In plan both point up the sheet, and the side view has the front to the right with the wheels on the ground line. On the scooter, the front wheel under the legshield is dashed on A-HIDN.

Motorcycle blocks for parking layouts

Lay a row of motorcycle plans side by side to test a parking strip. Leave room between bikes for a rider to stand and lift the stand, and room behind to roll the bike out backwards. Some layouts fit several motorcycles in the footprint of one car bay, which you can test by dropping these blocks into a parking bay block. Local rules set the final bay size.

Each file holds two named blocks at 1:1 in millimetres, for example CT_MOTORCYCLE_PLAN and CT_MOTORCYCLE_ELEV. Outlines are on A-VEHI and details on A-VEHI-DETL. For pedal bikes and racks see the bike blocks, and for everything else car and vehicle CAD blocks.
